Here is a link to all the initiatives that have been filed with the Arizona Secretary of States office.
http://apps.azsos.gov/election/2016/general/initiatives.htmI am surprised there are a whole bunch of them related to marijuana. There are the two RAD initiatives. RAD stands for Relegalize All Drugs. One which wants to legalize just marijuana and the other which wants to legalize All rugs. C-02-2016 Re-Legalize MarijuanaThe folks at MPP or Marijuana Policy Project have filed several different versions of their initiative. They say it's to legalize marijuana, but it's mostly to give the existing medical marijuana dispensaries a government monopoly on growing and selling recreational marijuana. Their initiatives are all in the area of 20 pages long. Personally I think this is one of them if you can't dazzle them with brilliance then baffle them with BS things. I-05-2016 Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana ActThe folks at Campaign to Legalize and Regulate Marijuana just filed an initiative to legalize marijuana. I just skimmed over it and it looks a lot like the MPP initiative. I-09-2016 Campaign to Legalize and Regulate MarijuanaI like the initiative filed by Arizona Marijuana Patient Society which says the Arizona govenrment can't charge medical marijuana patients a ridiculous fee of $75 or $150. This looks like a pretty simple straight forward initiative that is only one page long. I think you should sign the initiative and vote for it when it gets on the ballot. I-06-2016 Medical Marijuana Dispensary Fee WaiverThe folks at HOW ARIZONA have filed several initiatives to legalize industrial hemp farming. I know industrial hemp used to be a major crop in the USA until the marijuana laws made it illegal. I am all for this initiative too. I-01-2016 Hemp Farming Act Arizona 2016 |
