You can help circulate the RAD petitions to legalize drugs in ArizonaCurrently RAD is circualting two initiatives to legalize drugs and end the "War on Drugs" in Arizona.Initiative C-02-2016 asks the voters to re-legalize marijuana in Arizona. Initiative C-03-2016 asks the voters to re-legalize all drugs in Arizona. The only pay is making the world a better place to liveIf you think that the "War on Drugs" is destroying America and want to fight back and help re-legalize marijuana or re-legalize all drugs you can do your little part to make Arizona and the world a better place to live by circulating the RAD initiatives to re-legalize drugs in Arizona.RAD can't pay you to circulate the petitions, but for most of us the the idea that we are trying to end the "War on Drugs" which has turned America into the worlds largest police state is enough pay. Who can circulate the RAD petitions or initiatives?Anyone who is qualified to register to vote in Arizona can circulate the RAD petitions or initiatives. You don't have to be a registered voter in Arizona to circulate the petitions, you just have to be qualified to register to vote in Arizona. You have to be 18 or older. You can't be a felon, unless your rights have been restored. If you are NOT a resident of Arizona you must register with the Arizona Secretary of State before circulating the petitions. Here is a link to the rules for who can circulate the petitions at the Arizona Secretary of State's office. Sadly it seems like the folks in the Arizona government routinely change the names of their links so don't be surprised if the link gives you a not found message. I tested the link on April 21, 2015 and it works. Printing the RAD initiativesRAD is circulating two initiatives which will be on the 2016 election in Arizona if they get the required number of signatures. One initiative is to completely relegalize marijuana in Arizona. That is initiative number C-02-2016. The other initiative is to completely relegalize all drugs in Arizona. That is initiative number C-03-2016. To make the government bureaucrats in the state of Arizona happy you MUST print the initiatives on 8 and 1/2 by 14 inch paper. The first page of the initiative MUST be printed on double sided paper. If you don't use 8 and 1/2 by 14 inch paper your signatures won't count. If you don't use double sided paper for the first page, again your signatures won't count. To print a copy of the initiative to legalize marijuana click on this link to pull up a pdf file with the initiative and then print it off. To print a copy of the initiative to legalize all drugs click on this link to pull up a pdf file with the initiative and then print it off. Some rules on circulating the petitionsYou must watch voters sign the petitionYou are required by law to watch each and every voter sign the petition. You can't just leave the petitions unattended with a sign asking people to sign them.
Only registered Arizona voters can sign the petitionsYou can only let people sign the petitions that are registered voters in Arizona. You don't have to check their ID, but just ask them if they are a registered voter in Arizona. If they say they are NOT a registered voter in Arizona, don't let them sign the petition. Petitions can contain signatures from only one countyBefore a person signs a petition ask them what county they live in.Petitions can contain signatures from one and only one county. For example a person from Maricopa County can't sign a petition which has signatures from Pima County on it. So if you are collecting signatures in Pima County and somebody who lives in Maricopa County comes along and wants to sign a petition you must break out a separate petition for them. And on that separate petition, only people from Maricopa County can sign it. This is because the county governments verify the validity of the signatures. The 8th line on the petition contains the county of which the people signing the petition are registered to vote in. An example follows:

You are allowed to help people register to voteYou may want to carry some Arizona voter registration forms with you so people who are not registered to vote can fill them out to become registered voters and then sign the petition. You can offer to turn in the voter register forms to the government for the people that fill them out. Or you can let the people who fill them out turn them in themselves. Arizona voter registration forms are available free of charge from
Filling out the circulator information on the petitionsWhen you are ready to return the petitions you have circulated to RAD you must make sure the following information on the petition is filled out and have the petition notarized. Here are the steps to take to fill out the petition as the circulator. Filling out the initiative - Front SidePaid Circulator or Volunteer |
At the top of the petition check the box that says Volunteer.
This is a state wide initiative so put Arizona in this box |
Our latest and greatest PDF files of the initiatives have the word "Arizona" typed in this box. If you printed our latest copy of the petition you won't have to fill in this box. But if you printed up your petitions from one of our earlier PDF files this box was left blank. If this box is blank put "Arizona" in the top box, because this initiative is for the entire state of Arizona. That is opposed to the initiative being for a single county, city or town. This petition was signed by voters from xxx County |
Petitions may only contain signatures from voters in one county.
I think this is because the petitions are sent back to the counties to verify the signatures. So if you people who are registered to vote in Pinal County and Maricopa County want to sign your petitions, you must have have the people registered to vote in Pinal County sign one set of petitions, and the people registered to vote in Maricopa County sign a second set of petitions. Filling out the initiative - Back SideNext flip the petition over and fill out the back side.County of person who notarized the petition |
Leave this box blank.
The notary public who notarizes the petition or initiative will put the county they live in this box. Name & County of person who circulated the petition |
Next print your name.
Then put the county you live in. Signature and address of person who circulated the petition |
Next sign the petition as the circulator of the petition.
Next put the address you live at. This will be filled out by the person that notarizes the petition |
Last you have to get the petition notarized.
You won't fill in any of this stuff, but the notary public who notarizes it will fill it all in for you. Then the notary will place a copy of his or her stamp on it. Banks, credit unions, some schools and some govenrment offices will notarize the petitions. Many employers have a person that will notarize the petitions. Some will notarize the petitions for free, others will charge a fee Mail the initiative to RADLast you have to mail the initiative to RAD. And that includes the stupid pages that include a description of the initiative. Those govenrment bureaucrats sure make us jump thru a lot of silly rules to do this. And if you don't follow all the silly rules they will reject your signature. You can then mail the initiative to RAD at: RAD - Relegalize All Drugs |
